Tangier
Al Houara Golf Club
A seaside course by the Atlantic, between Tangier and Asilah.
The story
Al Houara was designed by the Australian Graham Marsh and Vijay Singh, the former world number one, on more than 110 hectares of Atlantic seafront on the road from Tangier to Asilah.
The course runs through a protected forest by the Atlantic, with direct beach access, and two holes take you right down to the water. It is ranked No. 2 in Morocco and among the five best in Africa by Top100GolfCourses.
A Hilton resort stands next to the course, and a floodlit nine-hole course lets you play again after dark.
