About us

One country, all our attention

We do not sell the world. We do Morocco, and we know it deeply.

We are Ibn Battuta Experience, a private travel brand for travellers from China, and we work in one country only: Morocco. We design each trip around you, run it on the ground with people we know, and stay in touch with you on WeChat, through our Chinese-speaking travel concierge, from the first message to the day you fly home. We are named after Ibn Battuta, the Moroccan who travelled to China in the 14th century; we make the journey in the other direction.

Why only Morocco

One country, known deeply, is worth more than ten known a little.

01

We know every road

The hotels, the riads, the drivers and the guides: we have chosen each one ourselves, for this country alone.

02

Built for travellers from China

A Chinese-speaking travel concierge on WeChat, and trips shaped for how you like to travel.

03

We look after everything ourselves

We design each trip, coordinate it with local providers and follow it up, with a quality check after you return.

Who arranges your journey

From itinerary planning and local coordination to Chinese-language communication on WeChat, we make the responsibilities at each stage clear.

Ibn Battuta Experience is operated by Tasweek Limited. The specific booked services and each party’s responsibilities are set out in the Booking Agreement (see our Terms). If an arrangement needs follow-up, contact us on the WeChat shown on this site or at ask@ibnbattuta.cn.

01

Journey planning

We discuss routes, hotels and activities around your dates, party size and interests. Confirmed services and costs are recorded in the Booking Agreement.

02

Local coordination in Morocco

We coordinate hotels, transport, local guided visits and activity providers, following up on itinerary arrangements and necessary changes.

03

Chinese-speaking travel concierge

Before, during and after travel, we provide Chinese-language communication and coordination through WeChat, communicating daily during the trip. This is a remote service, not an accompanying Chinese-speaking guide.

What you can count on

Four commitments behind every trip.

01

Private by design

Your group, your van, your driver. No shared coaches and no other travellers.

02

Planned around you

Each route is a starting point. We change the length, hotels and activities to fit you.

03

No shopping stops, no hidden costs

What is included and what is not is written down before you book.

04

Chinese-language support throughout

Our Chinese-speaking travel concierge supports you on WeChat before, during and after the trip, and we check in after the trip.

Every journey, a story written for you

We coordinate everything on the ground, so you can simply be there.

How it works

Four steps from first message to departure.

STEP 1Ask us on WeChat

Dates, who is travelling, and what you love to do.

STEP 2We design your trip

A day-by-day itinerary with hotels and a clear price.

STEP 3Confirm in writing

A written agreement, then a deposit to secure hotels and guides.

STEP 4Support during your trip

During your trip, we communicate with you daily through WeChat, help with requests and coordinate local arrangements. The Chinese-speaking travel concierge is a remote service, not an accompanying Chinese-speaking guide.

Our name

Why Ibn Battuta

Ibn Battuta was born in Tangier in 1304. In 1325, aged 21, he left for the pilgrimage to Mecca and did not come back for nearly thirty years. He travelled through North Africa, the Middle East, East Africa, Central Asia, India and Southeast Asia and, according to his own account, reached China around 1345, arriving at the port of Quanzhou. Back in Morocco, he dictated what he had seen in a book, the Rihla, which tells of roughly 117,000 km of travel and is still read today.

In China he is known as 伊本·白图泰. Our work follows his road in the other direction: we bring travellers from China to Morocco, his home.
