Planning your trip
Visa, safety, dates and routes
Do Chinese citizens need a visa for Morocco?
Holders of ordinary Chinese passports can visit Morocco without a visa for short stays. Your passport should be valid for at least six months. We confirm the current rules when we send your itinerary.
Is Morocco safe for Chinese women travelling together?
Our trips are private: your own van and driver, licensed guides for visits, hotels we know, and our Chinese-speaking travel concierge in touch with you daily on WeChat during the trip. We plan the days so you are never left to find your own way at night.
Can we travel with children or parents?
Yes. Every trip is private, so we set the pace and the hotels around your group. Tell us the ages and any mobility needs when we plan the trip, and we suggest which days and activities suit everyone.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can, especially for Golden Week, Spring Festival and the Sahara in high season, because hotels and guides are limited. We confirm availability before you pay anything.
Can you change the route to suit us?
Yes. The routes are a starting point. We adjust the days, the hotels and the activities to your dates and interests, and send you one written itinerary.
When is the best time to go?
October to April for the Sahara, April to October for the northern cities, May to September for the Atlantic coast. We suggest the right route for your dates.
Do you have fixed departure dates?
No. Every trip is private and starts on the dates you choose.
Can I join alone or with a friend?
Yes. The prices shown are reference prices; we send you a price for your group size.
What is the weather like, and what should we pack?
It depends on the region and the month: nights in the Sahara and the mountains can be cold in winter, and the interior is hot in summer. Before you travel we send a packing guide for your route and dates.
Getting there and money
Flights, arrival, payment apps and SIM
Do you book international flights?
No. International flights are not included, so you can choose the airline, dates and airport that suit you. Once you know your flights, send us the details and we plan the first and last day around them.
How are we met on arrival?
Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your first hotel. All transfers on the itinerary are included, so you never need to find a taxi.
What about money and payment apps in Morocco?
The local currency is the Moroccan dirham. International cards are accepted in hotels and many restaurants; small shops and markets often prefer cash. We explain what to bring before you travel.
How do we stay connected, with WeChat and our usual apps?
We recommend a local or travel SIM or an eSIM, and we send you the options before departure. During the trip, our Chinese-speaking travel concierge is in touch with you every day on WeChat.
Can we add nights before or after the trip?
Yes. Tell us your flight dates and we can add nights in Marrakech, Casablanca or elsewhere, and plan the transfers.
Price and payment
What you pay, when, and what is included
How does payment work?
After we agree your itinerary, we send a written agreement. A deposit confirms the booking and secures hotels and guides; the balance is paid before departure. The exact amounts, dates and payment methods are in your agreement. Before paying, check the agreement and payment details with us on WeChat; if anything differs, confirm with us first.
Can I cancel or change my dates?
Yes. The cancellation and change conditions are set out in your agreement before you pay anything.
What is included in the price?
Hotels and riads, a private van with driver, guided visits, the listed entrance fees and activities, the photography sessions on signature routes, and remote WeChat support from our Chinese-speaking travel concierge. International flights, most meals, tips and insurance are not included. Each itinerary lists the details.
Why does the price depend on the group size?
The van, the driver and the guides are shared between the guests, so the price per person goes down as the group grows. The website shows indicative per-person prices, not guaranteed minimum bookable prices. We plan around your requirements and provide the final price after confirming the itinerary and hotel arrangements. Inclusions, exclusions, payment, cancellation and refund conditions are specified in the Booking Agreement.
Which hotel level can we choose?
Standard, Luxury or Ultra-Luxury. Tell us the level you prefer and we show you the hotels in your itinerary.
What costs extra during the trip?
Meals not listed in the itinerary, tips, personal expenses and optional extras such as a balloon flight or extra photo sessions. Each itinerary lists what is included.
On the trip
Guides, food, health and dress
Are the guides Chinese-speaking?
Local guided visits included in the itinerary are primarily provided in English, as specified in the confirmed itinerary. Request a Chinese-speaking guide before booking; availability and the additional charge must be separately confirmed. Drivers, activity instructors and local guides speak English. Before, during and after your trip, our Chinese-speaking travel concierge also provides communication and coordination support on WeChat; this is a remote service, not an accompanying Chinese-speaking guide.
Do we travel in our own private van?
Yes. Your group travels in a private van with a driver for the whole trip, and you are never left to arrange your own transport.
Who do we contact during the trip?
Message your Chinese-speaking travel concierge on WeChat. During your trip, we communicate with you daily through WeChat, help with requests and coordinate local arrangements. The Chinese-speaking travel concierge is a remote service, not an accompanying Chinese-speaking guide. On the guided visits in your itinerary, a local guide leads you on site. We check in with you after the trip.
Can we change the plan during the trip?
Within reason, yes. Tell your guide or message us on WeChat and we adjust the day, depending on timings and what is open.
Can you arrange halal food or dietary needs?
Yes. Tell us any dietary needs when you plan the trip and we pass them to the hotels and restaurants. Most Moroccan restaurants serve halal food.
What should we wear in cities and villages?
Light, comfortable clothes that cover shoulders and knees are the easiest in the medinas and villages. Hotels and the Atlantic coast are more relaxed. Our packing guide gives details for your route.
Is travel insurance included, and what about medical care?
Travel insurance is not included in the trip price and is not a condition of booking, but we strongly recommend suitable cover for your circumstances, itinerary and chosen activities. Before buying, check with the insurer the geographical cover, medical care and emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, personal belongings, and the cover and restrictions for your chosen activities. In an emergency, contact us on WeChat straight away: we support you and handle the first steps to bring you to safety.

Do I need to have surfed before?
No. Beginner lessons usually start from the basics on the sand, and most beginners stand up in their first or second session. Tell us your level and the coach adapts the session.
Is the equipment included?
Yes, on the session days of the surf journey. A soft surfboard suited to your level and a full wetsuit are usually provided.
Where do we surf?
On the Atlantic coast, around Essaouira and Taghazout. Each has several spots within a short drive, and the coach picks one on the day for the swell, the wind and your level.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes, you should be comfortable in the water. Beginner lessons usually take place in shallow, waist-deep water, with the coach close by.
Is the water cold?
The Atlantic here is cool: usually about 16 °C in late winter and about 20 °C in late summer. That is why a full wetsuit is worn all year.

The session is arranged according to the sea conditions, the weather and your level. If it cannot run, we adjust the day.
What is included, and what can we add?
Sessions with a certified coach, with a soft surfboard and a full wetsuit usually provided. Extra sessions or private coaching can be added on request.
